The numbers
What the weather here is
Small enough to drive in a day and it crosses three climates doing it. The north is properly Mediterranean — Aïn Draham in the Kroumirie hills takes over 1,500 mm and sees snow; the Sahel around Sousse is semi-arid with mild wet winters; and south of Chott el-Djerid the Sahara starts and Tozeur runs 40 °C with 90 mm a year. The sirocco — locally chehili — is the event that matters: a southerly off the desert that can add 15 °C in an afternoon and carries enough dust to close the coast road.
Where the official forecast is
This site is not a warning service. The official forecast and every watch and warning for Tunisia comes from Institut National de la Météorologie.
What is on this page is the raw observation — the METAR itself, from the aerodrome named above it — with nothing added and nothing forecast.
